The peace and quiet was absolute gold!
Positive: Our stay at Rossini’s Cottage was absolutely wonderful! Nestled high in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, this charming retreat offered the perfect balance of relaxation and access to the stunning district. The cottage was exactly as pictured, spotlessly clean, parking was easy, and the early check-in was a bonus. If you're looking for a peaceful couple’s escape, this is the place. The bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept like babies! The bathroom was well-appointed with quality toiletries and fluffy towels. Inside, the potbelly fireplace in the lounge created a cozy vibe, perfect for a night in with Netflix.
We were looking for wide, open spaces to embrace nature and enjoy some peace and quiet. Outside, the fire pit area was a highlight—sipping coffee in the sunshine by day and watching breathtaking sunsets by the crackling fire in the evening was pure magic. The outdoor sauna was bliss! For extra comfort after the sauna, we recommend bringing a bathrobe. To enjoy the indoor fireplace or outdoor firepit, you must BYO firewood (we picked some up at the local service station).
While there wasn’t a Guest Handbook with local recommendations or dining options, there are plenty of great choices nearby, so it’s worth short-listing a few favourites in advance. For those keen to explore by car, we found some great tourist brochures at the Adelaide Airport, with self-drive itineraries to spots like Hahndorf, Stirling, and many scenic wineries.
While pantry staples like bread, milk, and breakfast items aren’t provided, the spotless, well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and bring food for our weekend. We especially loved the Nespresso machine, and the welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch, which we enjoyed by the firepit.
Rossini’s Cottage is the perfect retreat, offering a beautiful base to explore and enjoy all the sights and activities nearby. The cottage's bush views are ever changing and magnificent from this spot.

Positive: Property was very clean and home like. Definitely a nice place to reset. Loved the family of magpies that came down every day to say hello and allowed us to hand feed them. Beautiful location. Would stay again

Lovely quiet cosy cottage for two or one. Amenities excellent. Nice and clean.
Positive: Situation - excellent view, cosy cottage, nice and quiet.
Negative: Blind needed in dining area as light goes directly into bedroom (for those that don’t like closing bedroom doors)

Positive: Cute little cottage, very comfortable sofa and bed. Nice and cosy with the fire going.
Negative: Need to bring your own firewood and filtered water. Sauna could be positioned better for maximum privacy from road and neighbours.
